As I’m using a few AI tools and now taking on a course with Mindvalley, I was invited to ask chat GPT to write a letter to my future self and below is what was written for me. I embrace AI as a tool which combines everything we learn into a connected-ness which shows no slowing down and only getting better.
Dear Matthew,
It’s amazing how far I’ve come studying AI.
Here’s what I’ve created, who I’ve become, and what I’ve let go of.
What once felt overwhelming is now familiar.
What once felt technical now feels intuitive.
I no longer see AI as something separate from me, but as a tool that amplifies my creativity, my message, and my purpose.
I’ve created systems that support my business instead of draining my energy.
Content flows more naturally.
Ideas no longer stay trapped in my head — they move into action.
I’ve learned how to turn insight into structure, vision into execution, and intention into momentum.
But more importantly than what I’ve built is who I’ve become.
I’m calmer with uncertainty.
More confident in my voice.
Less reactive, more intentional.
I trust myself to learn what I don’t yet know — because I’ve proven that I can.
I’ve let go of the belief that I’m “behind.”
I’ve released the need to understand everything before starting.
I no longer wait for perfection, permission, or reassurance.
I’ve let go of the old story that growth must be hard to be meaningful.
Instead, I’ve embraced curiosity over pressure.
Progress over comparison.
Alignment over hustle.
AI didn’t replace my humanity — it strengthened it.
It allowed me to reach people more clearly, communicate more compassionately, and build a business that reflects who I truly am.
I now work smarter, not longer.
I create with confidence rather than doubt.
And I allow success to feel safe.
If there are still challenges ahead — and I know there will be — I meet them differently now.
With steadiness.
With patience.
With belief.
This version of me understands that learning never ends, but fear no longer leads.
I’m proud of the courage it took to begin.
Grateful for the consistency that carried me forward.
And deeply appreciative of the man who chose growth when comfort would have been easier.
Whatever comes next, I trust myself to meet it.
Because I didn’t just study AI —
I expanded my identity.
With respect for the past, confidence in the present,
and excitement for what’s still unfolding,
Matthew
